ABOUT

Saya holds bachelor's and master’s degrees in environmental science from Nagasaki University, Japan as well as a master's degree in landscape architecture from the University of Oregon. She is currently enrolled in a doctoral course at Nagasaki University remotely. She was a Rotary Global Grant Scholar, receiving a scholarship from Rotary Club every year for her study in the US from 2019 to 2022. Partnered with the Rotary Club, she was asked to plan a project for the Rotary’s McKenzie River Clinic landscape project, leading its design and installation process.

大分県出身。長崎大学環境科学部および同大学院を早期卒業後、2019年秋より3年間、大分キャピタルロータリークラブ・グローバル補助金奨学生として米・オレゴン大学建築系大学院ランドスケープ・アーキテクチャー学科修士課程に進学。留学中は、毎月奨学金レポートを提出。2022年春、MLA修士号を取得し、現在はアメリカのランドスケープ事務所にて働く。
